DOBIE
ROCKS THE SCHERMERHORN
Dobie recently performed at Nashville’s
Schermerhorn Symphony Hall’s First, Annual
Musicians Hall Of Fame Inductees Awards
presentation. Owing to the talents of Joe
Chambers, musicians and singers from all corners
came and made November 26, 2007 a night to
remember – adding another Hurrah! to Nashville’s
famed Music legacy.
Hal Blaine, who played Drums on Dobie’s 1965,
Classic “The “In” Crowd” was there. Mike Leech and
Reggie Young, who gave "Drift Away" its signature
licks where also among the inductees. He sang “My
Girl,” with The Funk Brothers Band, and mingled
with old friends and new Artists during the
event’s “After-party, held at the Musicians Hall
Of Fame, downtown. Dobie’s sentiment: “It’s about
time!”
